Teva Mountain Games

Teva Games 2008
Buck flew in from California Thursday night and Eric picked him up from the airport. Our friend Al met up with us at our place and we managed to party hard Thursday night. Friday morning was little fuzzy for us as we headed up to Vail. Next year I will make sure to pack the night before leaving for Vail. Packing with a hangover is no fun at all and I forgot half of my stuff!

Friday we got up to the Teva Games mid-day and watched some of the qualifiers. We knew a lot of people who were trying to qualify for semi-finals on Saturday. Several of our friends made it to semi-finals!

We spent Friday night and Saturday night camped at an amazing campground in Vail. The camp hosts came around every night and gave us glow-stick bracelets in neon colors. Peanut enjoyed them around her color, and I enjoyed being able to see her in the dark! Above Herm and Eric are enjoying burritos Friday night.

Eric finishing up a problem during the citizen's competition. The comp was very packed, as usual, and he and Al had a hard time even getting to a climb! Taking a picture was next to impossible from the audience.

Above is a photo of Eric and I watching finals. It got cold out, and sunburns made it worse!

Buck and Al after twelve or thirteen PBR's...notice the lack of a "buzz"...

I wouldn't say we had the best seats, but at least we were comfortable! No standing for us, and we were able to see all the panels during the comp without someone's head in the way!
